Propagation
Cuttings taken during summer apply bottom heat, roots develop slowly.
Difficult to transplant as it has very fine roots.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green lanceolate leaves are sessile or have a very short petiole and the acuminate apex is sharply pointed. The upper surface is concave and the texture is leathery.
Flower: The tubulate flowers have a swollen floral tube with an exserted style. The corolla-tube is white to yellowish and pinkish and the flowers are arranged in the leaf axils, appearing during spring.
Fruit: The small capsule is loculicidally dehiscent and has numerous seeds that are dispersed by water and gravity. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
