Division of the clump (rhizome) during winter to early spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leathery sessile lanceolate leaves clasp the stem and have a prominent mid rib and an acute apex.

Flower: There are 5 to 14 pail yellow calceolate flowers that are blotched in red-brown arranged on an arching raceme that is up to 100mm (4in) long. They appear during spring.

Fruit: The small fruit is a single chambered capsule that contains many small seeds that lack endosperm. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
