Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º to 64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.


Botanic information
Leaf: The almost sessile dark green reniform leaves have an obtuse apex and a cordate base. They are arranged in opposite pairs evenly along the reddish branchlets.

Flower: The yellow papillionate flower has a broad standard that is marked in red in the centre and the wings and keel are small. The pedicle is short and the flower is solitary in the leaf axil and appear during spring.

Fruit: The flattened pod opens along both edges and contains hard coated seeds.
