Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Cutting are difficult to grow but the plant can be grafted onto G. robusta.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are variable from simple to pinnate with the rachis refracted (bent) at each node and have 5-11 linear leaflets up to 30mm (1¥in) long. They are stiff and pointed with revolute margins that obscure the underside.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have a short pedicle with oblong tomentose perianth segments and the yellow style is up to 20mm (µin) long with an oval pollen presenter. They are arranged in a one-sided terminal raceme that is up to 90mm (3½in) long. They appear from winter to spring and are bird or mammalpollinated. The flowering period may vary depending on rainfall.

Fruit: The ovoid follicle is up to 10mm (?in) wide with a thin pericarp that has reddish stripes. It contain wrinkled elliptical seeds to 8mm (?in) long surrounded by a narrow membranous wing. The small seeds are viable and the plant can be grafted.
