Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification (peeling treatment).
It is grafted on to Grevillea robusta for humid regions.


Botanic information
Leaf: The narrow linear leaves have a very short petiole and a pointed apex. They are villous when young becoming glaucous with a leathery texture when mature.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have a pedicle that is up to 10mm (?in) long withpink-red, villous perianth segments that roll back and a red style up to 20mm (µin) long. The flowers are arranged in a sessile umbel-like cluster that is up to 30mm (1?in) long and appears from winter to early spring.

Fruit: The ovoid follicle is up to 7mm (¥in) wide with a thin villous pericarp and contain elliptical seeds to 8mm (?in) long with recurved margins and a membranous wing.
