Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification (peeling treatment).

Soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings from summer to autumn.

Grafted forms on to Grevillea robusta are available.


Botanic information
Leaf: The stiff sessile pinnate leaves may be twice divided with narrow linear leaflets up to 25mm (1in) long that have a cuspidate apex. The dark green upper surface is glabrous and the underside has two silky grooves.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have a pedicle up to 12mm (½in) long with pink, oblong perianth segments that are tipped in white and the slender curved style is up to 45mm (1µin) long. There are up to 6-flowers arranged in terminal umbel-like cluster tha appears from winter to spring and are bird pollinated.

Fruit: The elliptical follicle is up to 10mm (?in) wide with a thick pericarp and contain smooth ellipsoidal seeds to 8mm (?in) long with a waxy triangular wing. The small seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
