Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification (peeling treatment).

Soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings from summer to autumn.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green eaves are up to 15mm (?in) wide and are oblong to broad-linear with an obtuse apex and a short petiole. The texture is papery and the upper surface is finely pubescent. It has entire margins that are slightly recurved.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have a pedicle that is up to 4mm (?in) long and ovoid perianth segments that are curled back with a protruding style up to 15mm (?in) long. They are arranged in a small cluster of 6 to 12 blooms and is up to 20mm (µin) long. Thee flowers appear from winter to spring and are bird pollinated.

Fruit: The elliptical follicle is up to 9mm (?in) wide with a thin pericarp and persists on the plant. The small seeds are not normally used and the plant is reproduced vegetatively.
