Division of the clump (rhizome) during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green long linear leaves taper to a slender point and the upper surface is gradually concave.

Flower: The stellate flowers have 5-oblong pointed petals up to 12mm (½in) long with yellow woolly filaments. The flower colour is blue to white and are arranged in a cluster on a scape that is up to 600mm (2ft) tall and is leafy at the base. They appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The oblong capsule has 4-ribs and is pointed. The small seed is not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
