Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º to 64ºF) for 24 hours.
Division of the clump after flowering.


Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green long-linear leaves are arranged in groups of four which distinguishes it from Lomandra longifolia, otherwise it is simular. They are arching with age and taper towards the apex.

Flower: The tiny tubulate flowers are arranged in dense spike that is up to 300mm (1ft) tall. The male and female flowers are borne on separate spikes on the same plant and are accompanied with sharp spines. They appear during early summer.

Fruit: The small, bronze-green berry-like capsule appears in dense clusters along the flower spike. The seeds germinate freely in bare soil in an open position but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
