Propagation
Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leathery dull green narrow-lanceolate leaves have a short peduncle and an acute apex with prominent midrib.
Flower: The tiny cyathiform flowers have 4-petals that are connected in pairs by the stamens and the calyx is 4-toothed. They are arranged in an axillary cluster that appears from late winter to early spring and are generally an insignificant feature.
Fruit: The bluish-black ovoid, berry-like drupe contains a solitary seed. The small seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
