Botanic information
Leaf: The grey green long-linear leaves are almost cylindrical up to 6mm (¥in) wideand have a sheathed base.

Flower: The pubescent flower is tubulate, opening on the underside with recurved lobes and protruding linear anthers at the apex. The flowers are arranged terminally on a slender unbranched pubescent scape that is up to 850mm (34in) tall and appears during spring.

Fruit: The small fruit is a three celled capsule and the tiny seeds are not commonly seen. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
