Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring or autumn in pots.

Note:
In many countries such as Australia it is regarded as a weed and is a major problem particularly in disturbed soil.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are ovate to oblong with 3 to 5 lobes and is finely pubescent on the underside. The apex is acuminate and the petiole is up to 100mm (4in) long. It has palmate venation.

Flower: The large radiate flower heads have numerous tubular disk florets and long lanceolate ray florets. The flower head is held above the foliage on a long leafy scape and appears during summer.

Fruit: The seed heads contain many dried viable cypsela. As a weed seed heads should collected and bagged.
