Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16ş to 18ş C. (61ş to 64ş F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Note:
Care should be taken when selecting a sight allowing ample room for it to grow as it has vigorous roots that can lift concrete and block drains.


Botanic information
Leaf: The ovate sessile juvenile leaves are up to 170mm (2ľin) long and are bluish green. The adult leaves are narrow-lanceolate with an acuminate apex and a petiole up to 15mm (?in) long.

Flower: The cylindrical buds may be angular or ribbed and is up to 7mm (Ľin) longand has a conical operculum. The white flowers are small and appear during summer.

Fruit: The sessile woody capsule is ovoid and arranged in clusters each with a small rim and a narrow descending disk with 3 to 4 valves at rim level or slightly exserted.


General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.
