Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).

Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The thick textured oblong leaves are dull green on the upper surface and spotted with glands. The underside is covered in green-white tomentose and the petiole is short and the apex is obtuse.

Flower: The red flowers are narrow-tubulate and have exserted stamens. They appear upright and are arranged terminally on a long greenish pedicel during winter.

Fruit: The dehiscent capsule is explosive and has very small seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
