Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Semi hardwood cuttings up to 100mm (4in) long taken during summer and apply bottom heat.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy green leaves are ovate to oblong glossy above and the undersides are covered in white tomentose. The petiole is short and the obtuse apex may be notched.
Flower: The pendulous tubulate flowers consist of 4-fused petals that are greenish-cream with golden brown margins and have 8-stamens, that extending past the reflexed petals. It is on short stalk and appear solitary or are arranged in a small cluster under the branches from winter to early spring.
Fruit: The dehiscent capsule is explosive and has very small seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
