Propagation
Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period. Bottom heat may encourage fast root development.

Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).

Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green leaves are ovate-obovate to elliptical with a coarsely serrated margin and up to 25mm (1in) wide. The lower leaves tend to be larger and the peduncle is short.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have 5-sepals and a split tubular shape corolla consisting of 5-petals that are spread out like a fan and yellow at the base. They profusely appear solitary in the leaf axils on the upper part of the stem from spring to summer and vary in size.

Fruit: The tiny fleshy dark-blue to purple drupe normally contains 2-seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
