Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F).
Botanic information
Leaf: The long linear silvery green leaves are light green on the upper surface and densely silvery-tomentose on the underside. The leaves are concave with an obtuse apex and the texture is soft.
Flower: The tiny campanulate flower have 5-spreading lobes and are arranged densely in a spherical cluster. This is held above the foliage on a scape up to 800mm (28in) tall and appears during spring.
Fruit: The tiny cypsela is covered in silky hairs and is very viable.
