Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º to 64ºF) for 24 hours.

Division of the clump after flowering.


Botanic information
Leaf: The long linear grey green leaves are up to 3mm (2/16in) wide with the upper surface flay or concave and the margins may be recurved.

Flower: The tiny tubulate flowers have 6-perianth segments that are arranged in whorls. The male flowers are arranged in a narrow panicle up to 170mm (6µin) long with a short peduncle. The yellow female flowers are arranged in a smaller panicle and appear during midsummer.

Fruit: The small, bronze-green berry-like capsules are borne in dense clusters along the flower spike. The seeds germinate freely in bare soil in an open position. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
