Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours.
Soft wood cuttings taken during summer, up to 50mm (2in) long and dipped into hormone powder. Difficult to strike.
Botanic information
Leaf: The silvery-green paripinnate leaves have 10 to 20 flexible linear leaflets that are up to 200mm (8in) long with an acuminate apex.
Flower: The small yellowish tubulate flowers have a style up to 7mm (¥in) long andare arranged in a cylindrical terminal raceme up to 15mm (6in) long, 80mm (3?in) wide. It is held above the foliage on a stem up to 5m (15ft) long and appear from late winter to spring.
Fruit: The elliptical follicle is up to 15mm (?in) wide with a thick smooth pericarp and contain grey elliptical smooth seeds to 12mm (½in) long surrounded by a broad wing.
