Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.


Botanic information
Leaf: At maturity the canopy is composed of persistent, sessile juvenile leaves which are covered in a waxy bloom giving them a silvery appearance. The shape is ovate to oval with the base clasping the stem and the apex may be notched.

Flower: The buds are diamond-shaped with a conical operculum and are arranged in a terminal umbel. The flowers have numerous long greenish-white stamens that radiate giving a fluffy appearance during late summer.

Fruit: The shortly pedunculated woody capsular fruit is cylindrical with ribs and arranged in clusters each with a narrow rim and 5-enclosed valves.
