Botanic information
Leaf: The small sessile linear leaves have an entire or slightly serrated margin and occasional forms pointed lobes as it matures. The upper surface is concave and the apex is acuminate.

Flower: The mauve funnelform flowers have 4-lobes and 2-prominent stamens. They are arranged in a terminal raceme and have an extended flowering period from spring to mid summer and is a feature of the plant.

Fruit: The small capsule is a 2-chambered containing many small seeds and encased by the persistent calyx. The small seed is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
