Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F).
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and apply bottom heat.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are obovate to oblong with a glossy upper surface that is dotted in oil glands and when crushed it has a pleasant smell. The petiole is jointed where it meets the blade and the apex is obtuse and may be notched.
Flower: The small 4-pettled stellate flowers are arranged in a loose axillary cluster on a long peduncle and appear from mid to late summer.
Fruit: The small fleshy globular drupe has a 4-angled endocarp. Each lobe contains 1 to 2 dark brown seeds that are up to 5mm (?in) long. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
