Propagation
Sow seed when ripe on finely chopped sphagnum and keep moist, maintaining a temperature of 25ºC (77º F). Remove pulp prior to sowing.
Division of the clump during late spring to early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The light palmately lobed leaves have a petiole that is up to 2m (6ft) long and the leaf blade is divided 3 to 5 times with each segment divided at the apex.

Flower: The tiny unisexual apetalous flowers are arranged alternately around a cylindrical spadix and the partly united female flowers have many perianth segments. The flowering period may vary in tropical regions but normally appear during summer.

Fruit: The drupe contains small seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
