Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Germination is slow taking up to 15 weeks.
Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are oblong to linear with a mucronate apex and a short petiole. The texture is leathery and the margins may be recurved.
Flower: The tiny white sessile tubulate flowers have 5-spreading lobes and are arranged in a small axillary cluster that appears from autumn to winter.
Fruit: The tiny berry-like drupe contains a single seed. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
