Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F).
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green pinnate leaves have 7 to 11 oblong leaflets that are up to 200mm (8in) long with a deeply veined glossy upper surface. The underside is dull green with a prominent mid-rib and the leaflets are arranged oppositely.
Flower: The yellow flowers have 5-expanding petals with throats that are spotted and streaked in scarlet. They are funnelform to campanulate with up to 10 blooms arranged in axillary panicle. The flowers appear during autumn or throughout the year in tropical climates.
Fruit: The long pod-like capsule is ribbon-like with a scaly-ribbed exocarp and contains winged seeds.
