Botanic information
Leaf: The large bilobed leaves are up to 120mm (8in) wide and have a thick leathery texture. The slender petiole is up to 30mm (1Ľin) long and the venation is reticulate.

Flower: The deep rose-red funnelform flowers have 5-spreading lobes and 5-excerted stamens. All the petals look simular but the standard is slightly darker veined. The flowers are arranged in a terminal raceme that appears winter to spring.

Fruit: This tree produces sterile pods and is normally reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
