Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring or autumn in pots.
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves have an acuminate apex, short petiole and a thick leathery texture. The leaf venation is pinnate and the leaves tends to be concave with pale green undersides.

Flower: The small male flowers appear above the female flowers which are subtended by 6 to 12 bracts and are arranged in a axillary cluster on the same tree during early winter. (monoecious)

Fruit: The spherical berry-like drupe is bright red or scarlet and are a feature of the plant. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
