Botanic information
Leaf: The concave silvery green spathulate leaves are covered in a silver-white down and have a soft texture. The apex is acute and the leaf tapers towards the base clasping the stem.

Flower: The tiny bisexual radiate flowers (florets) are arranged in a dense head that is surrounded by papery petal-like yellow ray florets. The flower heads are up to 35mm (1?in) wide and appear in a cluster that is held above the foliage on a slender scape from summer to early winter.

Fruit: The tiny cypsela is 5-angled to cylindrical and the pappus is made of simple bristles. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
