Propagation
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer to autumn, up to 50mm (2in) long.
Mound layering during spring.

General pruning information
Tolerates a light prune to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Do not prune into old wood as it will not regenerate.


Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile grey green leaves are slightly pubescent and have a thickish texture. The apex is obtuse and the leaves are arranged in whorls of 3 alternately along the stem.

Flower: The pink urceolate flowers have a long reddish pedicel and sepals. The fused petals form a small mouth that has an exserted pink style and the flowers are arranged in a short raceme that appears during summer.

Fruit: The tiny fruit is a 4-celled dehiscent capsule contains numerous small seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
