Semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer to autumn, up to 50mm (2in) long.
Mound layering during spring.
General pruning information
Tolerates a light prune to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Do not prune into old wood as it will not regenerate.
Botanic information
Leaf: The grey green lanceolate to linear leaves are arranged in whorls of 4 and have ciliate recurved margins. Some forms of this plant have leaves with a silvery appearance.
Flower: The urceolate flower have pubescent green sepals and a corolla with a small mouth. They are arranged in a terminal umbel during summer and the flower colour is rose-pink to white.
Fruit: The tiny fruit is a 4-celled dehiscent capsule that contains numerous small seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
