Propagation
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer to autumn, up to 50mm (2in) long.
Mound layering during spring.

General pruning information
Tolerates a light prune to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Do not prune into old wood as it will not regenerate.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glabrous dark green leaves are arranged in whorls of 4 and have thickish texture. The apex is acute and the petiole is small or absent.

Flower: The honey scented urceolate flowers have protruding brown anthers and are arranged in a raceme that is up to 40mm (1½in) long and appears from late winter to spring.

Fruit: The tiny fruit is a four-celled dehiscent capsule contains numerous small seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
