Propagation
Sow seed when ripe during autumn in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.
Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are broad-elliptical with a fine pubescence and a leathery texture. The apex is obtuse to acute and the short petiole is reddish. During autumn the leaves turn red before falling.
Flower: The small crateriform flowers are white suffused in pink and there are 3-7 blooms arranged in an axillary cyme that appears from spring to early summer.
Fruit: The small rounded berry-like pome is red to orange and persist on the plant. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be easily reproduced vegetatively.
