Propagation
Stratify seeds for three months and maintain a temperature of 5º C (41º F) for 3-months prior to sowing in a prepared bed and keep moist.
Semi hardwood cuttings taken in during autumn.
Division of the clump during spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green imparipinnate leaves have leaflets that are oblong-lanceolate with an acuminate apex and are arranged oppositely along the rachis. They have 6-10 teeth and the texture is thin.
Flower: The small rich yellow cyathiform flowers are arranged in a terminal raceme that is up to 50mm (2in) long and are accompanied by basil bracts. They appear during autumn.
Fruit: The small bluish berry is pruinose with a persistent style and contains 1-cell. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
