Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves have 5 to 7 large lobes each with slightly lobed margins. The quilted upper surface is glossy green and the tubular petiole is long and slender.
Flower: The 5-petaled funnelform flowers have a backward-pointing nectar spur and the 2-lower petals are white bearded. They are arranged in a terminal raceme on a slender scape that appears during autumn.
Fruit: The small follicle is covered in fine pubescence and contain 3-glaborous wrinkled seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
