Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in pots and place in a open frame to germinate.

Stem cuttings of non-flowering shoots during early summer and water from below, avoiding wetting the foliage.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green leaves are oblong to spatulate and heavily covered in white silky hairs giving a silvery appearance. The apex is acute and the petiole is very short or absent.

Flower: The 4 to 10 salverform flowers are arranged in a terminal umbel with a pedicle up to 50mm (2in) long. The flowers are pink-mauve with a yellow centre and have a short tube with 5-spreading petals and appear during summer.

Fruit: The capsule contains tiny seeds that are not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
