Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate. Pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.

Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glabrous glossy dark green elliptical leaves upper surface has a quilted appearance and the underside is covered in grey-white pubescence. The petiole is short and the apex is obtuse.

Flower: The tiny crateriform flowers have 5-recurved lobes, 5- upright stamens and a short whitish pedicle. They are arranged in a branched terminal panicle that appears during spring.

Fruit: The capsule contains small seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
