Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.


Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile juvenile leaves are broad ovate to 50mm (2in) long and arranged oppositely. The glaucous green intermediate and adult leaves are broad lanceolate up to 25mm (1in) wide, with a yellowish petiole and an acute apex. The leaves are concolorous with a leathery texture.

Flower: The buds are clavate up to 7mm (¥in) long with hemispherical opercula. The sessile creamy-white flowers are arranged in an axillary umbel with a terete peduncle and are up to 15mm (?in) long. They appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The greenish-brown capsule has a short pedicle and is hemispherical with a broad disk. The 3-4 valves are descending or level with the disk.
