Propagation
Stratify fresh seeds for 2 to 3 months during winter then sow during spring.

Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are oblong to lanceolate with a short thick petiole and an acuminate apex. The new foliage is reddish and the margins are sharply serrated.

Flower: The small 4-petaled greenish stellate flowers tend to be inconspicuous and arranged in an axillary cyme that appears from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The capsule is 4-winged and the seeds are enclosed in an orange arils. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
