Propagation
Cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer. May be difficult to form roots.
Botanic information
Leaf: The stiff textured dark green sessile lanceolate leaves have an acuminate to cuspidate apex. They are arranged densely along the stems.
Flower: The tiny tubulate flowers appear towards the base of the shrub on older stems but are hidden amongst the foliage. The corolla lobes have erect tufts of hair towards their ends and fine hairs in the throat. The flowers contain sweet nectar with a honey scent and appear during late winter.
Fruit: The berry-like drupe has small seeds that are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
