Propagation
Sow fresh seed after storing in a dark place for 3-6 months in containers during spring.
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and place on a misting bench. Take care when transplanting as the roots of very fine and can be damaged easily.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are narrow elliptical to lanceolate with a short petiole and obtuse apex. The texture is leathery and both the stems and leaf surface is covered in fine white hairs.
Flower: The small campanulate flowers have 5-expanding petals with the anthers and stigma protruding. They are solitary in the upper leaf axils and appear during spring.
Fruit: The small capsule is loculicidally dehiscent and has numerous seeds that are dispersed by water and gravity. The small seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
