Propagation
Sow fresh seed after storing in a dark place for 3-6 months in containers during spring.
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and place on a misting bench. Take care when transplanting as the roots of very fine and can be damaged easily.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are ovate to orbicular with a short petiole and a thick texture. The upper surface may be concave and the apex is acute with a point.
Flower: The tubulate flowers have a short tube with 5-spreading lobes and are arranged in a terminal cluster and appear during autumn.
Fruit: The tiny capsule is loculicidally dehiscent and has numerous seeds that are dispersed by water and gravity. The small seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
