Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.
Take tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer.
General pruning information
This plant does not regenerate from a hard prune into old wood but respond from a light trim directly after flowering.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile dark green leaves are elliptical to ovate-lanceolate with an acuminate apex. The small rigid pubescent leaves are crowded along the branchlets.
Flower: The buds are pink and therotate flower has 5-petals that vary from whitish to deep pink appear on old wood. The flowering period is variable from late summer to autumn and again in early spring.
Fruit: The woody capsule contains 5-compartments and is persistent on the plant. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
