Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º to 64ºF) for 24 hours. The seeds may require scarification.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves have up to 11 pairs of obovate leaflets that are to 25mm (1in) long. The leaflets have an obtuse apex and the upper surface is covered in fine downy hairs.

Flower: The papillionate flowers are arranged in a raceme that is up to 200mm (8in) long and the colour is mauve, brownish or yellow. They appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The inflated (bladder-like) leathery pod is light green and contains hard coated seeds.
