Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 18ş to 21ş C. (64ş to 75ş F).

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.


Botanic information
Leaf: The long lanceolate leaves have an acuminate apex and a short petiole. The new growth is dark red and the leaf matures to olive-green with pinnate venation.

Flower: The small apetalous flowers have 5-concave sepals and 5-stamens, but no petals and are arranged in a dense terminal spike up to 120mm (4ľin) tall. The flowers open consecutively from the base during late summer and the flower colour is silvery-white at the base to pink.
