Leaf: The dark glossy green leaves are lanceolate to oval with an acuminate apex and a short petiole. The thickish texture is smooth and leathery.

Flower: The salverform flowers are arranged in a dense cluster and have reddish buds.They appears during summer and have a strong perfume.

Fruit: The berry is not commonly produced and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
