Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F).

Take cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The small glossy dark green linear leaves have an acute apex and the short petiole that clasps the stem closely. The texture is leathery and the leaves are arranged in a single plane giving a flattened appearance.

Flower: The flowers are dioecious with ovoid male cones that have spirally arranged sporophylls and appearing in the leaf axils. The female cone has one or a few ovuliferous scales and appeaars during spring.

Fruit: The small glaucous globular berry-like cone has a short stalk and is found towards the end of the branches. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
