Propagation
Stratify seeds for 2 to 3 months during winter in peat and sow seeds in pots then place them in a cold frame.

Note:
Care should be taken when selecting a sight as the tree has vigorous roots that can lift concrete and block drains.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green pinnate leaves have a long channelled petiole with up to 7 oblong-lanceolate leaflets that are up to 150mm (6in) long with an acute apex and a short stalk.

Flower: The tiny male and female flowers have 4-calyx lobes and are arranged in a large pendulous panicle on separate trees. The flowers appear during early spring.

Fruit: The samara is oblanceolate with a winged up to 45mm (1µin) long.
