Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16ş to 18ş C. (61ş to 64ş F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leathery textured ovate leaves ahve an acute apex and a cuneate base. The new growth is red to burgundy and is a feature of the plant.

Flower: The small crateriform flowers have long pedicles and 5-sepals, 5-petals with numerous stamens. They are arranged in a axillary cyme that appears during spring.

Fruit: The small rounded berry contains seeds that are viable.
