Propagation
Take cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile dark green leaves vary in length and the new growth is bright, light green. The undersides are covered in fine silky tomentose and the leaf shape becomes slender towards a pointed apex.
Flower: The tubulate flowers have a perianth tube that is up to 6mm (¥in) long and splits into 4-curling lobes at maturity. They are arranged in an axillary cluster along the stems and appear from winter to spring and sporadically throughout the year.
Fruit: The ovoid woody follicle is slightly pubescent and contains 2-winged seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
