Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F).


Botanic information
Leaf: The pinnate leaves have 2-6 obovate to elliptical leaflets that are up to 70mm (2µin) long with a short stalk and an obtuse apex. The leaflet base is cuneate and small projections (domatia) are found in the vein axils. The rachis extends past the last leaflet.

Flower: The tiny white to yellow cyathiform flowers have 4-tepals centred with numerous yellowish stamens and are arranged in a small axillary cluster on long peduncle. They appear during spring.

Fruit: The pear-shaped capsule has 2 to 3 lobes and contains 2 to 3 black seeds that have a cream coloured fleshy aril. The red-orange fruit is a feature of the plant.
